The practice of integrating language instruction while teaching science is critical for building understanding in science. This training will provide an overview of the content and sequence of learning science in the 3-5 classroom and a model for integrating the key components of language comprehension within an inquiry-based classroom. The book, Language and Literacy in Inquiry-Based Science Classroom, Grade 3-8 by Zhihui Fang will be provided as part of the registration cost. Participants will be eligible for 6.5 hours of Professional Development credit. Registration will close on October 8th.
