Participate in a Science Fair and Showcase Your Project at an AZ SciTech Signature Event!

The Opportunity

AZ SciTech invites students to take their science projects to the streets by participating in one of the many science fairs taking place statewide and exhibiting at a festival signature event.

Students are encouraged to participate in one of the many local science and engineering fairs taking place accross the state. In addition, students are invited to showcase their science fair projects at one of the many creative and thought-provoking signature events that will take place as a major part of the Arizona SciTech Festival. Students may want to consider exhibiting at a signature event that focuses on a topic relevant to their project, although this is certainly not required.

Arizona Science Fairs

Southern Arizona Regional Science and Engineering Fair (SARSEF)

SARSEF is a year-round educational outreach program that teaches and recognizes K-12 students' research and experience in the fields of science, engineering, technology and math. Last year, over 66,000 students participated in their school fairs in an effort to be selected as one of the 6,000 students and 1,500 projects that were featured during the week of the Regional Fair.

Schools interested in participating can receive free Professional Development for K-12 teachers, Parent Science Nights, and classroom visits – all at no cost!  Over 20,607 new students were reached last year, alone. SARSEF celebrates its success with a week long Fair where projects from Kindergarten through High School students are on display for a week and then judged and recognized for their attention to the scientific method and engineering design process.  Last year, over 635 prizes were awarded, including college scholarships, trips and cash awards totaling $300,000!
